A Farm Stay Holiday your Pets will enjoy with you

If you are an animal lover or pet owner, Liptelvin Hillside Retreat near Mansfield, Mt Buller and Lake Eildon is the perfect place for your holiday. Pets are as welcome as their owners, and if house trained, are able to live inside with their families in the apartment, self contained caravan and self contained B&B Queen Room. Outside dogs can stay in Ben's Canine Cabins which is an enclosed escape proof run with kennels and a large shady tree.

On arrival, guests are greeted by hostess Christel, and canine host Ben, who checks out the back of the guests' cars if they have not produced a dog. Guests are then treated to freshly brewed coffee, tea or a cold drink with home made shortbreads, and dogs have fresh water and a treat waiting for them. Dog bedding and food bowls are also available.

The apartment nestled in the side of a hill, has stunning views and is surrounded by gardens. Spacious and light, with tasteful decor and original art, the apartment has fresh flowers, cushions and throw rugs on leather couches, and a fire burning in winter or ceiling fans and air conditioning on if it a hot day in summer. Guests feel at home and start to relax as soon as they step inside.

The kitchen and dining areas are well equipped. There is also a 3/4 size pool table and library. For younger guests, there is a cot, high chair, baby bath, baby rocker, plastic bowls and cup, videos, DVDs, sports equipment and toys.

Quality linen, Egyptian towels, toiletries, tissues, detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, tea towels, tea and coffee and are supplied.

Comfortable beds with electric blankets are topped with feather doonas. The silence is only punctuated by occasional animal sounds so guests can enjoy a peaceful night and awake to bird song next morning.

Regardless of the time of year, there is always something to do in the Mansfield area. Snow capped Mt Buller beckons in winter and Lake Eildon and the rivers are magnets in summer. In spring and autumn, colours and fragrances tantalise the senses.

Guests can visit the nearby interactive zoo, fish or swim in the river on the property or nearby Lake Eildon, participate in a 4WD trip, have a picnic or barbecue, go bushwalking, hire a bike, go horse riding, have a helicopter ride, play golf, go to the armchair theatre, visit a winery, dine out or go to one of the many events or festivals.

Pets and children can be cared for free if advance arrangements are made with the hosts.

If guests just want to chill out, Liptelvin Hillside Retreat is the perfect place to do so. In house massages and facials can be organized and there are also massage packages for guests and their pets.

The Liptelvin horses and donkey love attention. Under supervision, children can brush and take them for walks. Usually Ben and Chino, the cat will come too. Hens can be picked up and patted and guests may enjoy free range eggs for breakfast.
